Mr. Long founded ALIAT LEGAL in 2005 and is the managing partner in charge of the overall operation of the firm. He has extensive experience in intellectual property law, and corporate and investment law, with an emphasis on healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
In 20 years of practice, Mr. Long has successfully advised and assisted numerous clients, including local giants and MNCs, to initiate, operate and expand their business activities in Vietnam. His services for these clients have also included establishing, protecting and exploring their intellectual property rights in Vietnam.
Mr. Long is also very active in advising and assisting local authorities to manage and promote local brand specialities especially agriculture products by establishing the protection mechanism for collective marks, certification marks and especially geographical indications.
In addition to his professional legal practice, Mr. Long is also the non-tenure lecturer at the Judicial Academy lecturing on a number of areas of law but with a focus on intellectual property law.
Mr. Long is a member of the Management Board, Deputy Secretary General cum Head of Expertise Committee of Vietnam Invention Association. He is currently a member of the Enforcement and Anti-Counterfeiting Committee of Asian Patent Attorney Association (APAA)

Nguyen Quoc Phong is a co-founding partner of Aliat Legal and the Head of Business Law Practice in the firm with 20 years of legal experience.
Starting his legal career in the early 2000s at the role of in-house counsel and acted at this role for years in a number of leading multinational corporations doing business in different industries, Mr. Phong harvested in-depth insight and cognitive knowledge in relation to corporate core values, environment and nature of those business.
Known as the founder who built up a team of commercial lawyers, Mr. Phong has been actively practicing in investment, mergers & acquisitions, corporate & compliance, commerce & contract, property & construction, logistics & maritime, labor and commercial dispute resolution.
Successfully advising and representing clients in a wide range of industries including construction, infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing and FMCG, Mr. Phong has been recognized as one of leading commercial lawyers in Vietnam.
Mr. Phong used to serve as a lecturer of lawyer training courses at Vietnam’s Judicial Academy.

Mr. Hai has experience in a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters. In particular, Mr. Hai specializes in the settlement of civil and commercial disputes and regularly conducts proceedings and represents clients in front of the relevant authorities and in court including, district level court, provincial courts (including civil courts and economic courts) and the High Supreme Court.

Mrs. Hanh is a partner of the firm heading Intellectual Property Practice. She has nearly 8 years of experience in prosecution of patents, designs, trademarks, trade names, geographical indications, domain names and copyright.
Mrs. Hanh has extensive experience in advising, drafting and processing responses and arguments in trademark litigation, appeals, opposition strategy issues and cancellation proceedings, as well as assignment and licensing procedures. She is also experienced in reviewing clients’ product packaging, identifying IP issues and proposing brand protection strategy. Her expertise has been applied in an increasing amount to supporting international and multinational clients in the establishment and protection of IPRs under the Madrid system and in all jurisdictions in the South East Asia, EU, North America, Latin America and Africa regions.
Mrs. Hanh has many years’ experience in the protection of IPRs, and promptly and precisely assesses the likely success of registering a trademark and the potential legal risks of using an unregistered mark.
